The Yi12 line array loudspeaker is a purpose-built solution for permanent installation projects requiring high acoustic performance and precise directivity control. Developed by d&b audiotechnik, the Yi12 is the installation-specific counterpart of the touring Y12 model, offering identical audio characteristics while incorporating design features optimised for fixed-use scenarios. It is particularly suited to environments such as performance venues, houses of worship, conference facilities, and auditoriums, where long-term, reliable operation and consistent sound coverage are critical. The Yi12 line array loudspeaker features a 2-way passive design, integrating two 8-inch drivers in a dipole arrangement and a centrally located 1.4-inch compression driver. This configuration, combined with a sophisticated waveguide and horn structure, ensures a horizontal dispersion of 120 degrees maintained down to 500 Hz. Capable of forming vertical arrays of up to twenty-four units, the Yi12 offers adjustable splay angles between 0 and 14 degrees, allowing for flexible acoustic alignment across diverse installation layouts. Constructed from marine-grade plywood and finished with a durable polyurea coating, the Yi12 line array loudspeaker is available in standard, Special Colour (SC), and Weather Resistant (WR) versions, the latter meeting IP55 standards for use in changing environmental conditions.
