MUSE 218 SND/SN

The MUSE 218SND is a high-performance direct-radiating ground subwoofer engineered for professional audio reinforcement. Featuring dual B&C 460mm long-excursion drivers with 100mm voice coils and a powerful 4000W Class D amplifier, the MUSE 218SND delivers a maximum SPL of 148.5dB. Its bass-reflex design ensures deep frequency extension down to 30Hz, making it an ideal companion for the MUSE 210LND line array in ground-stack applications. Preset configurations enable cardioid setups, significantly reducing rearward sound levels by over 15dB. Constructed from 18mm birch plywood with six handles and a durable finish, the cabinet is optimised using BEM acoustic modelling to minimise duct resonance and turbulence. Additional features include reinforced front grille, optional rear casters, and an advanced amplification module with integrated TCP IP interface, compatible with Dante and managed via the INFINITO System Management Suite. The aluminium housing includes an OLED display and daylight-visible LED for precise control and device identification.

High-output ground subwoofer for precision low-frequency reinforcement in professional audio systems

The MUSE 218SND is a dual 18-inch ground subwoofer designed to deliver powerful, controlled low-frequency extension in professional sound reinforcement applications. Developed to complement the MUSE 210LND line array system, the MUSE 218SND provides robust bass response for touring, fixed installation, and large-scale event environments. Engineered with two B&C 460mm long-excursion transducers, each equipped with a 100mm voice coil, the system is capable of achieving a maximum SPL of 148.5dB. The 4000W Class D amplification module ensures high output with consistent performance, while the bass-reflex cabinet design extends response down to 30Hz, supporting full-range system performance in demanding audio contexts.

The MUSE 218SND offers advanced configuration options, including presets for cardioid operation, enabling significant attenuation of rearward sound energy. This function is particularly valuable in reducing low-frequency spill in noise-sensitive or acoustically complex environments. The enclosure is constructed from 18mm birch plywood and features BEM-optimised porting to minimise turbulence and resonance, contributing to improved acoustic accuracy. Integrated with TCP IP connectivity and compliant with the AES70 OCA standard, the MUSE 218SND is fully compatible with Dante audio networking and is managed remotely via the INFINITO System Management Suite. These capabilities make the MUSE 218SND a critical component in scalable, networked audio deployments where control, performance, and reliability are essential.

High-power dual driver configuration

Equipped with two B&C 460mm transducers with 100mm voice coils, the MUSE 218SND delivers high output and dynamic low-frequency reproduction suitable for demanding environments.

Cardioid array presets for controlled dispersion

Preloaded configurations allow the MUSE 218SND to operate in cardioid mode, reducing rearward sound levels by over 15dB to improve stage clarity and minimise noise pollution.

Network-ready amplification module

The 4000W amplifier includes TCP IP connectivity and supports AES70 OCA and Dante protocols, enabling seamless integration into modern digital audio networks.

Optimised cabinet design for reduced resonance

Built from durable birch plywood and designed with BEM acoustic simulation, the enclosure ensures reduced port turbulence and consistent frequency response.
