MUSE 118FSND / 118FSN

The MUSE 118FSND is a high-performance powered subwoofer engineered for flown configurations with either omnidirectional or cardioid dispersion, delivering consistent visual integration. Featuring a B&C 18-inch neodymium driver with a 3.5-inch voice coil and a 1600W RMS amplifier producing up to 140dB SPL, the MUSE 118FSND is designed to be deployed with the MUSE 210LND line array or as a standalone cluster. Its enclosure enables both forward and rear-facing suspension, maintaining a uniform appearance while supporting cardioid setups that reduce rearward sound pressure by over 15dB. The MUSE 118FSCND variant is supplied preconfigured for cardioid use. A hybrid band-pass design, optimised via BEM finite element modelling, ensures extended low-frequency response in a compact enclosure. Constructed from 15mm birch plywood with integrated rigging for up to eight units, the system includes a 1600W RMS module with DANTE compatibility, AES70 control, and INFINITO Suite integration for comprehensive remote management.

MUSE 118FSND: Advanced Subwoofer Solution for Suspended Audio Applications

The MUSE 118FSND is a precision-engineered powered subwoofer designed to deliver controlled low-frequency performance in suspended audio configurations, making it an essential component in professional sound reinforcement systems.

Developed for compatibility with the MUSE 210LND line array, the MUSE 118FSND is suited for flown installations where audio clarity, directivity, and uniformity are critical. Its design enables deployment in both omnidirectional and cardioid arrays, ensuring optimal sound dispersion in a range of acoustic environments, from indoor arenas to outdoor venues. The enclosure integrates a B&C 18-inch neodymium woofer, driven by a robust 1600W RMS amplifier capable of producing a maximum SPL of 140dB. The MUSE 118FSND enclosure is engineered for versatile orientation, allowing front or rear-facing installation without compromising visual uniformity, a key consideration in cardioid configurations where rearward-facing units are used to reduce sound spill behind the array. This results in a measurable reduction of over 15dB in rear SPL levels. The MUSE 118FSCND variant is factory-configured for immediate use in cardioid setups. Advanced acoustic modelling, through BEM simulations, has informed the hybrid band-pass design, ensuring high output and frequency extension within a compact footprint. With integrated rigging hardware, networked audio support via DANTE, and full compatibility with INFINITO System Management Suite, the MUSE 118FSND combines acoustic performance with scalable deployment and remote control, supporting professional applications that demand precision and reliability.
