The d&b 44S is a compact passive two-way loudspeaker featuring dual 4.5-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers and two 1.25-inch high-frequency dome tweeters, integrated into a rotatable constant directivity horn to deliver a 90 by 30 degree dispersion pattern. The dispersion can be rotated to suit either horizontal or vertical installation. When paired with the optional d&b Z5427.000 44S back box, the d&b 44S can be flush-mounted into walls or ceilings, with the cabinet’s asymmetric design allowing fine dispersion adjustment in five-degree steps up to 20 degrees. Suitable for standalone use or in combination with d&b active subwoofers, the d&b 44S offers installation flexibility across various professional environments. The enclosure is injection-moulded and coated with an impact-resistant paint, while a durable metal grille provides front protection. Two M8 inserts on the rear support a range of mounting accessories. The d&b 44S and its accessories are also available in Special Colour options across the full RAL spectrum.
