Audio problems are one of the quickest ways to disrupt a meeting. Poor microphone pickup, background noise, echo or uneven volume can make people repeat themselves or miss parts of a conversation.
Hearability looks at microphone coverage, voice clarity, noise control and overall audio quality.

Can everyone see and be seen?
In a hybrid meeting, being visible matters. The camera needs to show the right people at the right time, while displays need to keep presentations, people and information easy to see.
Visibility considers camera framing, speaker tracking, display quality and content readability.

How easy is it to get started?
Nobody wants to spend the first five minutes of a meeting figuring out cables, inputs or connection settings. Wireless presentation, BYOD, USB-C and simple meeting controls can make a big difference.

How well does the room respond to what is happening?
Today’s collaboration systems can do much more than simply capture audio and video. Cameras can follow speakers, microphones can focus on voices and meeting platforms can provide features such as speaker identification and meeting summaries.
Adaptability looks at how well the technology responds to people and changing room conditions.

Improving the Experience
A better score does not always mean buying more equipment.
Start by looking at how people actually use the room and improving the lacking areas. Where do meetings slow down? What do remote participants struggle with? Are people able to share content without help? Can everyone hear and see comfortably?
The answers can point to practical improvements like better microphone placement, smarter camera coverage, simpler connectivity, improved displays or better integration between systems.
The aim is not to make a room more complicated. It is to make collaboration easier or creating an efficient ecosystem.
