The MITUS 118SA is a processed active subwoofer specifically engineered to deliver powerful low-frequency performance in professional sound reinforcement environments. Built around an 18-inch custom B&C neodymium magnet high-excursion woofer with a 75mm voice coil, the MITUS 118SA is capable of delivering up to 1200W RMS output and achieving a maximum sound pressure level of 139dB. Designed in a compact vented band pass enclosure, it provides accurate and controlled bass response, with a frequency range extending from 36Hz to 100Hz. This makes it particularly well suited for live sound venues, touring systems, fixed installations, and rental applications where space efficiency and high performance are essential. The onboard Class D amplifier with a switch mode power supply ensures consistent power delivery and energy efficiency. Integrated DSP functionality offers eight selectable presets, supporting cardioid and infra configurations, delay alignment, and precise phase control, enabling the MITUS 118SA to adapt seamlessly to various system requirements. Constructed from 18mm birch plywood and finished in a durable black coating, the unit includes a comprehensive control panel, aluminium side handles, multiple rigging points, and an M20 top mount socket. The MITUS 118SA is ideally suited to operate in conjunction with other loudspeakers in the MITUS range and is particularly effective when used with the MITUS 206LA in ground stack configurations, supported by an optional MTB206 metal base.
