Jabra PanaCast 50 video bar system
The DS20 Audio Network Bridge serves as a key interface between Milan audio networks and AES3 digital audio signals, while also enabling the distribution of Ethernet-based control data. Housed in a 1 RU chassis, the DS20 integrates into the d&b system architecture ahead of the amplifiers in the signal path, supporting both touring and fixed installations. It transmits metadata such as Milan channel labels and cable configuration via the AES3 stream directly to d&b four channel amplifiers. Alongside Milan-to-AES3 network bridging, the DS20 Audio Network Bridge offers four digital AES3 input channels for additional sources, including signals from a Front of House console. Equipped with a fully AVB-compliant five-port switch, the DS20 supports primary and redundant Milan networks while providing connectivity for remote control via the R1 software using the OCA protocol. Its front panel layout aligns with d&b Touring rack systems, and its wide-range power supply includes overvoltage protection up to 400 volts.
Interface between d&b amplifiers and the Milan audio transport protocol
- 16 AES3 digital output channels
- 4 AES3 digital input channels
- Integrated fully AVB-enabled 5-port network switch
The DS20 Audio Network Bridge is a dedicated interface designed to connect Milan audio networks with AES3 digital audio signals, while also facilitating the transmission of Ethernet-based control data. Developed as part of the d&b system approach, the DS20 Audio Network Bridge is positioned directly in front of the amplifiers within the audio signal chain, playing a critical role in both live touring and permanent installations. Housed in a compact 1 rack unit format, it provides robust connectivity between digital audio sources and d&b four channel amplifiers, supporting precise metadata transmission including channel labels and cabling information via the AES3 stream. In addition to its primary function as a Milan-to-AES3 bridge, the DS20 Audio Network Bridge includes four digital AES3 input channels to allow integration of supplementary audio sources such as feeds from a Front of House console. The integrated five-port AVB-enabled switch ensures both primary and redundant network operation, allowing for reliable system control through the R1 Remote control software via the Open Control Architecture protocol. Designed to match the I/O panels of d&b Touring racks, the DS20 Audio Network Bridge simplifies system configuration and connectivity. Its wide-range power supply accommodates global mains voltages and includes protection from voltage surges, making it a dependable choice for professionals seeking structured, high-performance networked audio distribution within the d&b system environment.
