M4 Stage Monitor

The M4 stage monitor is a high-performance, two-way loudspeaker featuring a coaxial driver configuration with a 15-inch low-frequency unit and a 1.3-inch exit horn-loaded high-frequency driver, both utilising neodymium magnets. Designed for professional stage environments, the M4 offers precise sound coverage with a constant directivity dispersion of 50 degrees horizontal by 70 degrees vertical. When operated in an upright position, the M4 functions effectively as a PA loudspeaker, delivering a 70 by 50 degree dispersion suitable for a range of sound reinforcement applications. For fixed installations, the driver assembly’s dispersion can be rotated in 45 degree increments to suit specific acoustic requirements. Constructed from marine-grade plywood, the M4 enclosure includes integrated handles, an impact-resistant paint finish, M10 mounting points and a stand socket. A durable metal grille with acoustically transparent foam protects the front, while recessed runners on the base minimise wear and provide stability. The M4 can also be configured for two-way active operation.

Professional-Grade Stage Monitoring and Versatile Loudspeaker Solution

The M4 is a purpose-built, high-performance stage monitor designed to deliver precise audio reproduction in demanding live sound environments. Engineered by d&b audiotechnik, the M4 combines a robust two-way coaxial driver configuration with refined acoustic directivity, ensuring consistent sound dispersion across stage areas. It integrates a 15-inch low-frequency driver and a 1.3-inch exit horn-loaded high-frequency driver within a compact, wedge-shaped enclosure, making it highly suitable for close-range monitoring. Utilising neodymium magnets, the M4 offers a high output-to-weight ratio, contributing to easier handling and transport in professional touring and event production contexts.

In addition to its role as a stage monitor, the M4 transitions seamlessly into a compact PA loudspeaker when deployed in an upright position. This dual functionality supports a wide range of applications, including corporate events, live music venues, and fixed installations. Its constant directivity dispersion pattern—50 degrees horizontal by 70 degrees vertical in monitor mode—ensures predictable sound coverage, while the rotatable driver assembly accommodates different installation requirements. Built for professional use, the M4 features a durable marine plywood enclosure, impact-resistant paint, integrated handles, and M10 mounting points. It also supports both passive and two-way active operating modes, allowing integration into various system configurations. With its reliable performance and adaptable design, the M4 remains a trusted choice for audio professionals seeking clarity and control in live monitoring and compact reinforcement scenarios.
