V Subwoofer

The V-SUB is a high-performance cardioid subwoofer specifically designed to deliver accurate and controlled low-frequency reinforcement in professional sound reinforcement systems. Developed to integrate seamlessly with the V8 and V12 loudspeakers from the d&b audiotechnik V-Series, the V-SUB supports both flown and ground-stacked configurations, making it a versatile solution for touring, rental, and fixed installation environments. It features a sophisticated dual-driver design, with an 18-inch forward-facing driver in a bass-reflex configuration and a 12-inch rear-facing driver in a two-chamber bandpass design. This arrangement enables a cardioid dispersion pattern, effectively reducing rearward sound radiation and minimising low-frequency build-up on stage or behind the system. The V-SUB is particularly suited for applications requiring precise bass reproduction with controlled coverage, such as concert venues, theatres, and outdoor events. Its consistent directivity improves sound clarity and intelligibility, supporting a more balanced listening experience for audiences and performers alike. Housed in a durable marine-grade plywood enclosure finished with Polyurea Cabinet Protection, the V-SUB is engineered for reliable performance under demanding conditions. Integrated rigging hardware, ergonomic handles, and an M20 high stand flange further enhance deployment flexibility, whether as part of a flown array or as a freestanding low-frequency extension.
