XSL12 Loudspeaker

The XSL12 line array module is specifically engineered for mobile use in small to mid-sized sound reinforcement scenarios. It also integrates effectively into larger GSL and KSL setups for fill or delay applications. The XSL12 can be deployed in vertical columns of up to twenty-four or twenty-two cabinets using XSL Flying frames in compression or tension mode, or up to twelve cabinets with the compact XSL Mounting frames. It offers a horizontal dispersion of 120 degrees. Internally, the XSL12 features two forward-facing 8 inch neodymium low-frequency drivers, two 6.5 inch side-firing neodymium low-frequency drivers, one horn-loaded 6.5 inch mid-frequency driver, and two 1 inch high-frequency compression drivers with 2 inch voice coils. Its acoustic design ensures consistent directivity from 60 Hz to over 18 kHz. The cabinet is powered by two amplifier channels and features durable PC ABS housing with weather protection and integrated rigging hardware for precise splay angle adjustment.

Compact Line Array Module for Mobile and Installed Sound Reinforcement

The XSL12 is a compact line array loudspeaker module developed to deliver precise, controlled sound reinforcement in small to medium-scale applications. Part of the SL-Series from d&b audiotechnik, the XSL12 offers a consistent horizontal dispersion of 120 degrees and maintains high directivity control from 60 hertz to over 18 kilohertz. Its design is optimised for use in both mobile and fixed installations, supporting standalone configurations or serving as a complementary fill or delay system within larger GSL and KSL array setups. The XSL12 is suitable for a range of venues, including performance spaces, houses of worship, corporate events, and smaller outdoor environments where compact form factor and directional control are essential.

The XSL12 cabinet incorporates advanced acoustic components, including two 8 inch forward-facing low-frequency drivers, two side-firing 6.5 inch low-frequency drivers, a horn-loaded 6.5 inch mid-frequency driver, and dual 1 inch high-frequency compression drivers. These elements, combined with dedicated amplifier channels and advanced processing functions, ensure the XSL12 delivers consistent tonal balance and defined dispersion characteristics. The enclosure is constructed from impact-resistant PC ABS material and finished with weather-resistant coatings for reliable performance in varying conditions. The XSL12 integrates into d&b system workflows using tension or compression rigging modes and is compatible with ArrayProcessing technology where required. This makes the XSL12 a highly functional solution for professionals requiring accurate, scalable sound reinforcement in a compact format.

Consistent Horizontal Dispersion
The XSL12 provides a 120 degree constant directivity pattern, enabling even sound coverage across wide listening areas, which is critical for audience clarity and intelligibility.
Advanced Driver Configuration
Equipped with forward and side-firing neodymium drivers, the XSL12 achieves full-range directivity control from 60 hertz to above 18 kilohertz, supporting focused sound delivery in acoustically challenging environments.
Flexible Rigging Integration
The XSL12 supports up to twenty-four cabinets in vertical columns using d&b XSL Flying Frames, with splay angles adjustable in one-degree increments, allowing precise system configuration for different venue requirements.
Weather-Resistant Construction
Manufactured with a PC ABS enclosure and treated with a durable weather-protective coating, the XSL12 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring operational reliability in diverse conditions.
